PLANNING BEYOND BORDERS. A NEW MODEL FOR HARMONISING THE METHODS, TOOLS AND ACTION FOR GOVERNING THE PROTECTED AREAS OF THE DOLOMITES
A learning workshop on planning for protected areas that goes beyond borders. Discussion organised by the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation Landscape Heritage and Protected Areas Network.
Where do you draw the boundary of a protected area? And beyond it, isn’t the woodland, the stream and the pastureland perhaps even more precious?
In an area like the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site and a complex property, including from the administrative point of view, how to bring about harmonised planning is a major issue.
Participation in the meeting is open to professionals in the fields of agronomy and forestry, architecture, engineering, geology and the law plus any other residents of the Dolomites with an interest in the topic.
