RUEDIS. RUOTE DI CONFINE (THE WHEELS OF BORDERS)
Dancing the Great War along the town streets, by Compagnia Arearea.
A dance-work in four scenes played out along the main street of Auronzo di Cadore, the dance company Compagnia Arearea dances the great war using bicycles as their main prop. In an early 20th Century setting, accompanied by live futuristic music, this work pushes to the extreme a eulogy to those forces that drove the entire world headlong into war. Millions of human beings were overcome by patriotism and the perceived excitement and glory of war. Amid the clamour, the six Arearea dancers seek out an affirmation of life, the beauty of encountering others, the peace.
